Manchester United truly gave their best against Barcelona in the 2nd leg of the UEFA Champions League Semifinals and a vintage wondergoal from veteran Paul Scholes sends the Red Devils to the final in Moscow. Park, Nani, Tevez, Brown, Rio, Edwin, each and every one of them giving their heart and soul on the pitch, encouraged by the huge crowd that truly turned into a sea of red and white, singing along and cheering their heros. This is the stuff that dreams are made of, and they can only be made at Old Trafford, the Theatre of Dreams.

Blackburn Rovers – Manchester United 1-1

The Reds played a poor first half of football at Ewood Park and Roque Santa Cruz gave Blackburn the lead after a mistake in United`s defense. United missed many chances and were heading towards their first defeat since Porthsmouth in the FA Cup.

They kept pressing on in the second half with Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani barely missing the goal. Coupled with Friedel`s incredible saves it really looked bad for the Red Devils but then Carlos Tevez headed home a vital equaliser in the 88th minute and United got that all important 3 point lead over Chelsea before the match at Stamford Bridge next Saturday.

Final score: Blackburn Rovers – Manchester United 1-1

Manchester United – Arsenal 2-1

Manchester United secured a 6 point lead over Chelsea after beating Arsenal 2-1 at Old Trafford.

Both teams had the chance to open the score in the first half, but saves from Edwin van der Sar and Jens Lehmann denied Adebayor and Rooney the goal in the first 45 minutes. Rio Ferdinand had shown Sir Alex Ferguson that he is worth all the money Manchester United payed for him by blocking numerous Arsenal attacks.

However Arsenal opened the score soon after the begining of the second half when Adebayor headed the ball past a surprized Edwin van der Sar. United quickly leveled the score though after the referee gave a penalty for Gallas` handball in the box. Ronaldo swiftly transformed the spot kick scoring his 38th of the season.

Sir Alex put on Anderson and Tevez to surely secure a win and such did happen when Owen Hargreaves bagged a free kick from 20 metres and Arsenal were finally outgunned.

Cristiano Ronaldo showed his class again in added time by dribbling Hoyte such that the Arsenal defender recieved a yellow card. United`s game was delightful late in the game. They knew what they wanted and they took it, no more, no less, a classy win against the gunners to close down on the title.

Manchester United – AS Roma 1-0

Sir Alex Ferguson put on a starting eleven made out of more reserves than regular 1st team players, giving everyone of Manchester United`s stars a chance to shine. United were already with one foot in the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League, after a 0-2 win at Rome.

Despite Rooney and Ronaldo being left on the bench, United`s offensive intent was still kept alive by Anderson, Ji-Sung Park, Carlos Tevez and Owen Hargreaves, who had the two biggest chances of the first half of the game. Roma was yet again dominated by Manchester United, rarely they managed to lead a counterattack, yet they were awarded a more than questionable penalty in the 30th minute which De Rossi missed, ending Roma`s re-lit hopes.

Carlos Tevez finished the job off in the 70th minute after heading in a ball crossed by Hargreaves, from less than a feet above the ground. Wayne Rooney came on and immediately had a shot at goal and later United`s captain Gary Neville, who has been out for more than a year due to an injury also made his appearance at Old Trafford, greated by 74.000 Mancunians.

Final score: Manchester United – AS Roma 1-0

Middlesbrough – Manchester United 2-2

Wayne Rooney saved a point for his team and avoided defeat this Sunday on the Riverside against Middlesbrough. The match began with United dominating, and Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 37th goal of the season in the 10th minute of the game after Michael Carrick dribbled his man following a corner and rolled the ball in front of the Boro goal. United kept on creating chances, but they didn`t capitalize on them and Middlesbrough leveled the score in the 35th minute thanks to Afonso Alves.

It was the same brazilian that gave Boro the lead in the second half, when United`s defense was crumbled by the Tuesday loss of Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand`s early exit, which seemed to be due to an injury, and the poor weather conditions. The Red Devils just couldn`t get their game together at the moment, but Sir Alex Ferguson`s experience made the difference again, when hr put on Ji-Sung park in Tevez`s place and the south korean quickly served Rooney on a plate, after crossing in front of the goal, it was a mere formality for Wazza to flick the ball into the goal. United kept on trying and so did Middlesbrough, but neither side could retake the lead.

The Fall of the Roman Empire part III: AS Roma – Manchester United 0-2

Manchester United took a huge step towards the Uefa Champions League semi-finals, and implicitly to the final in Moscow, by beating AS Roma 0-2 in Rome.

In the first 30 minutes the match was mostly a strategic midfield battle with few chances, the most notable event in the first half an hour being Vidic`s knee injury, Sir Alex Ferguson being forced to take him off and put John O`Shea on. Despite the defender`s injury, our back line was as solid as concrete due to Rio Ferdinand`s efforts and Wayne Rooney`s occasional and much welcomed help.

Then United`s tipical domination started to take roots, the Red Devils keeping the Roma squad in their own half. Despite the Giallorossi`s best efforts, it was United who opened the scoring in the 39th minute through Cristiano Ronaldo, who headed home a cross from Paul Scholes from inside the box. Ronaldo is taking steps towards Denis Law`s 46 goals in a season record, scoring his 36th of the season in all competitions.

In the second half Roma started more offensively but their efforts were stopped by the United defenders and goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar and in the 66th minute Wayne Rooney crushed all of Roma`s dreams by scoring for 0-2 after Ji-Sung Park`s cross slipped through Roma goalkeeper Doni`s hands and right onto Rooney`s foot.

After the second goal Roma totally colapsed. Their defense were almost as inexistent as in the Old Trafford semi-final leg last season. Ronaldo, Carrick and Rooney could have made the score even worse for Roma.

Bush Romániában

Megérkezett az ördög a pokolba. George W. Bush amerikai elnök nemrég szállt le az Otopeni repülőtéren, feleségével, Laura-val és Condoleeza Rice-szal, valamint több száz amerikai titkos szolgálat ügynökkel (kiket a drága ProTv bemondói mind Szikrit Szörvísz-ként emlegettek, nem egy márka fiúk, nyugodtan le lehet fordítani). Azok kedvéért akik nem tudják mily okból érte országunkat e mély megtiszteltetés, elmondom, Bush elnök az elkövetkező napokban a bukaresti NATO gyülésen fog résztvenni, melyen több problémát meg fognak tárgyalni, legfőbb lévén az Ukrajna és Grúzia NATO-hoz való csatlakozása, mely persze Oroszország számára lenne kedvezőtlen, így várhatjuk az orosz elnököt is hamarosan az Otopeni repülőtér leszállóterén.

De ki is valójában ez a George W. Bush? Amerika elnöke? A világ leghatalmasabb embere? Vagy csak egy bábú egy sokkal nagyobb sakktáblán? Egy dolog biztos, bár nem vagyok túl elragadtatva, hogy román állampolgár vagyok, minden nap köszönöm a sorsnak, hogy nem Amerikában születtem, így nem kell az életemet egy olyan személyre bízzam, akinek szájából olyan mondatok jöttek ki mint “Human beings and fish can coexist.”, “I am the decider.”, “Fool me once… shame on you… errr… you can`t fool me twice.”, és a többi.

Április 1 – Tanárok reakciója

Április 1 alkalmából egy kicsit felforgattuk az osztályt, mégpedig a padokat egy kupacba hánytuk egymás tetejére és a földre hálózsákokat tettünk, amelyekben az első órákon még aludtak is emberek. Lássuk hát mindezt hogyan reagálták le a tanárok.

1. Történelem tanárnő

Ahhoz képest, hogy reggel 7től mi várt rá, jól reagálta le a dolgot, eltekintve attól, hogy 3 embert feleltetett, de ez rutinos dolognak számít. Higgadtan leült a megmaradt székekre és hallgatta a fekvő/ülő/álló felelőket. 9/10

2. Matek tanárnő

Bejött, látta, hogy senkinek sincs kedve órára, ezért nem is tartott, azzal a feltétellel, hogy mondunk neki vicceket. 10/10

3. Angol tanárnő (Bob)

Óra volt, de nagyjából vicces*cough* történet írással telt el. 9/10

4. Német tanárnő

Bejött, megijedt az árnyékától, kiment. 7/10 csak mert nem volt óra.

5. Fizika tanár

Felvitt a laborba és már éppen akarta íratni velünk a felmérőt, de hála az osztálytársaim lelkes kérdéseinek, elmaradt az utóbbi. 4/10

6. Román tanárnő

Már azzal jött be, hogy tegyük helyre a padokat. Természetesen órát is tartott. 1/10 de csupán azért van az az egy is, mert nem íratott felmérőt:/

7. Magyar tanár

Ő bejött, mi szívattuk. Mind azt hajtogatta, hogy neki ugyebár van humorérzéke, így a végén ő sem tartott órát, de hagyott házit. 8/10
